A new four-story residential development in Riverdale has some people in the community upset.
The development on the side of Brust Park would require a single-family home to be demolished. Neighbors say they are worried that the new development would cast a shadow on their homes and the park.
A spokesperson for the developer, Timber Equities, says they share residents' concerns and actually conducted a sun study to prove that the planned development had minimal impact on the park.
They also say that the surrounding buildings are taller than the new development that's being planned.
Other concerned neighbors say Riverdale is becoming too crowded.
News 12 reached out to Community Board 8 and is waiting to hear back.
