Streets around the Grand Concourse were closed Sunday morning as more than 12,000 runners took part in the annual New York Road Runners Bronx 10-Mile race.

The course began on the Grand Concourse, stretched to Mosholu Parkway and ended near Yankee Stadium, where friends and family cheered participants with signs and encouragement.

Top finishers completed the 10 miles in about 50 minutes.
