Italian American culture was on full display, as the Feast of San Gennaro returned to New York City Thursday.
Hundreds lined the streets for the days-long festival in Little Italy.
The fun-filled, gut-busting attraction welcomes everyone to enjoy the flavors of Italian American culture -- from classic sausage and peppers to zeppoles.
Crowds were in awe as they walked up and down Mulberry Street to get a taste of Italian culture.
The feast celebrates the life of San Gennaro of Naples, who was a bishop of Benevento Italy and was martyred in 305 A.D.
This year's theme for the feast is "Celebrating America and Honoring Our Armed Forces."
Former astronaut Michael J. Massimino served as the event's grand marshal.
For many, they say each year gets better and better, which they say keeps them coming back.
