Scholar Athlete: Yestro Luciano Jr.

Jeep Dodge Ram Jetro Luciano Junior has had to overcome his share of adversity during high school, including suffering a torn meniscus that kept him away from doing what he loves to do more than anything, play sports. I would pray every day, just make sure I'm good. My family would help me pray, especially my mom. Um the medicine uh just was messing with my body and it's just everything just felt like it wasn't going that way. I just constantly felt like I was on the downside of that state and constantly felt like I was losing and um to come out of there winning. It's a great feeling. It's amazing. You have no idea next year. Yes. Will have the opportunity to play volleyball. One of the four sports he has lettered in at Sacred Heart high school in college at Mount Saint Vincent where he plans to study business marketing. I want to pursue a career in sports marketing, but kind of need to know the ropes in business marketing and all that stuff. Yes. Has nearly a 92 average his work ethic as well as his interest in marketing comes from his mom who works in that field. In addition to volleyball, he has been a standout in soccer, basketball and baseball. But the activity that has had the most impact on him is his involvement in a charity that delivers sporting goods to kids in need. In the Dominican Republic. We get donations from people all around the town and we bring it over to D R and my dad's hometown, just a whole bunch of kids. Every sport. You know, they're, they're running around playing soccer without cleats on rocks and giving them the supplies that they need is 10 times better with our scholar athlete. I'm Pat o'keefe.
