Winds have picked up and water has risen in the last couple of hours in Sheepshead Bay as Tropical Storm Isaias strikes Brooklyn.
The owner of Opera Café, Dogan Dinc, is using sandbags to keep items secure as the storm makes its way through the area. The eatery has been offering outdoor dining so the tables and chairs have been tied up.

“We have so much experience from Sandy so you know we know what we have to do,” Dinc says. “What we do is put sandbags over there and then the tables, we tied them up already. We know it’s not gonna be that much, but we still want to prepare for the storm.”
Dinc says they didn’t take Superstorm Sandy as seriously as they should have and have learned their lesson.
