2h agoA Brooklyn man has been charged with second-degree murder in the shooting of a McDonald's worker on Monday allegedly over cold French fries.
Prosecutors say Michael Morgan, 20, shot Matthew Webb, 23, Aug. 1 at the Fulton Street establishment after there was an argument about the French fries served to Morgan’s mother.
The complaint says Morgan’s mom, Lisa Fulmore, complained to workers that her fries were cold and asked to speak to a manager. Fulmore was FaceTiming with Morgan, who came to the restaurant and got into a fight with Webb, according to the complaint. Morgan allegedly punched Webb in the face and then shot him.
Prosecutors added that Webb was transferred to Brookdale Hospital where doctors declared he was brain dead.
Morgan is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon. On Wednesday, he was charged with murder and possession of a loaded firearm in the Oct. 21, 2020 death of 24-year-old Kevin Holloman.
He is being held without bail.
