There will be sunshine today but the feels like numbers remain in the single digits all day today.

The bitter cold lasts into tonight and Wednesday morning with below zero feels like temperatures once again.

A brief warmup is in store to end the week with highs in the 40s on Thursday and 30s on Friday with a mix of sun and clouds.

Watching the weekend and Sunday specifically for a winter storm that will be close to western Connecticut. Still more questions than answers when it comes to the exact storm track with cold and dry air the main obstacle as well.

Scenario 1 would have no snow in Connecticut with dry air winning the battle, but it would be bitterly cold as a result.

Scenario 2 would bring the storm closer if the cold and dry air is not as vigorous, therefore, bringing a chance of a few to several inches of snow to the state.
