A Somerset County fugitive was captured after more than eight months on the run.

A SWAT team caught up with Kenneth James on Wednesday night after he barricaded himself in a home and then ran off.

Authorities say James did not show up for the end of his trial last June. A jury convicted him in May in connection with a 2021 firearms and narcotics investigation.

James now faces additional charges, including second-degree burglary and fourth-degree resisting by flight.
