Save Our Streets Crown Heights called for justice and held a prayer vigil on Dean Street Tuesday in memory of a teen who was gunned down last Friday.
A group of about two dozen people stood outside NYCHA's Weeksville Gardens Houses where the crime happened.
They spoke directly to some of the residents about their mission, and members have had constant discussions about how to end gun violence, but they believe community engagement is key.
Police say last Friday around 10:30 p.m., 17-year-old Jaheim Gunn was found shot in the head outside NYCHA's Weeksville Gardens Houses.
Investigators tell News 12 he was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
SOS says they want to let the community know it is around for services.
SOS tells News 12 it has offered victims services to Gunn's family. Police are still looking for the person who pulled the trigger.
