A source confirmed to News 12 police have made a recovery while searching for a boater who went missing last week in the Manasquan Inlet.
They made the discovery on Channel Drive near the intersection of Baltimore Avenue. Authorities have not confirmed if the recovery was the body of Derek Narby – a boater who went missing last Thursday when his 30-food Aquasport boat capsized after a fishing trip with family members. Those with him on the boat were rescued, but Narby wasn’t.
Pieces of the boat and a floating marker were recovered earlier this week by state police and divers.
Point Pleasant Police continue to block off the inlet as the search continues.
