Two teens in a silver car allegedly struck a pedestrian near East 165th Street and Union Avenue and took off on foot, according to police sources.
After hitting the pedestrian, sources say the teens, both males, careened into a truck, exited their vehicle and ran away.
Police sources say it appears the car was stolen, but the investigation is ongoing.
Witnesses say the 17-year-old male victim lost a lot of blood after the accident. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition.
At the scene, News 12 cameras found what appears to be a hood dangling over a fire hydrant.
Police are seeking two suspects in the case. Sources say investigators are looking into whether the hit-and-run was intentional.
