The stabbing death of 14-year-old Angel Mendoza was filmed, court documents say. Investigators say that the obtained cellphone video helped them confirm some of the details in the investigation.
It is not clear who recorded the video.
Mendoza was attacked by a group of people at the Williamsbridge Oval Playground in Norwood Tuesday evening.
The 18-year-old attackers, Andrew Ansah and Jordan Williams, are facing charges including murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and gang assault.
The next court date for the teens is Aug. 11.
