There is some encouraging data surrounding COVID-19 hospitalizations, as hospitalization numbers are at a six-week low.
State officials confirmed Monday that there are currently 3,432 COVID-19 patients in New Jersey’s hospitals, with 632 of them in the ICU. Of those patients, 426 are on ventilators.
State health officials also reported 3,511 new positive COVID-19 tests, down over 1,000 from Sunday.
There were 23 additional deaths and the rate of transmission is at 1.12.
Gov. Phil Murphy says that 366,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administrated in the state. Of those doses, 325,000 were first doses and 40,000 were second downs. New Jersey residents age 30-49 make up 34% of the doses and people are 50-64 make up another 32% of the doses.
