Friday was orientation day for students at the Academy of Mount St. Ursula in Bedford Park Friday.
Chrome computers, schoolbooks and other supplies were given out to students during orientation.
The all-girls school made several changes to ensure a safe school year. Class sizes are smaller with desks 6 feet apart and protective barriers for teachers were installed in every classroom.
Temperatures checks and COVID screenings are required every morning, as well as masks to enter the building.
More than half of the students opted for full remote learning. Those who chose hybrid will be attending school two days a week with three days of in-class instruction one week per month.
Administrators say they're excited about welcoming students back on campus.
The first day of classes at the academy is on Monday.
