New York state is offering free swimming lessons to children this summer.
Roberto Clemente State Park is where the program began five years ago.
The lessons run from now until Aug. 11 and are a joint effort between the state departments of Parks and Health as well as the American Red Cross.
Officials say the eight-week program teaches about 20,000 kids how to swim every year. Roberto Clemente serves 3,000 of them.
