Bronx veterans were honored just ahead of Thanksgiving in Jerome Park Tuesday.

The veterans alongside friends and family met at Lehman Colelge for a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

The meal was hosted by state Sen. Gustavo Rivera.

The night was led off with a presentation of colors by members of the CUNY ROTC, followed by a prayer.

Rivera says his office helps veterans look for housing or employment.

He says he has been working on getting legislation passed to get veterans quick access to resources.
