News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Darryl Green says rain returns tonight. Significant impacts are now possible Friday evening. A coastal flood statement has been issued for Brooklyn.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch. It will remain in effect from 2:00 a.m. on Friday through late Friday night. 2 to 4 inches of rain, with localized amounts in excess of 5 inches possible. Rainfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour possible.

Tonight: Evening showers followed by a steady rain overnight. Lows from the mid- to upper-50s.
Friday: Periods of heavy rain may lead to flash flooding. Highs from the low- to mid-60s.
Saturday: Morning clouds and showers, partial clearing by the afternoon. Highs around mid-60s.
Sunday: Sunny. Highs from the low- to mid-70s.
Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs from the mid- to upper-70s.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Highs from the mid- to upper-70s.
