An argument in a City Island restaurant Tuesday night turned violent when one customer slashed another in the face.

Police say the 24-year-old victim was sitting down at a table at Tony’s Pier Restaurant around 9:30 p.m. when the suspect slashed him across the face after a dispute, and then ran off.

The NYPD released a video showing the moment after the incident occurred. The suspect is seen wearing red and black clothing.

The NYPD told News 12 that everyone involved in the incident knows each other, and that they’ll be able to prosecute the suspect soon.

Councilman Mark Gjonaj held a meeting Friday with other officials regarding the incident.

“We want to make sure that those who are responsible for that crime are brought to justice,” he said.
