Students pay tribute to ‘Junior’ during Senior Night at charter school

Organizers say they want to make the event even bigger next year since it would have been Junior’s graduating class.

Students and faculty at Dr. Richard Izquierdo Health & Science Charter School in Morrisania took time during Senior Night to remember Lesandro “Junior” Guzman Feliz, who was killed last year after being attacked in Belmont.
Junior's former physical education teacher organized the event.
They participated in a basketball skills competition. It’s the last event the seniors will have at the school before graduation.
Junior's best friend says she believes Junior would've enjoyed the event.
