The state's Health Department has released new data showing the number of COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes throughout New York.
The Cobble Hill Health Center has the highest number of coronavirus deaths in the entire state, with 55 deaths.

The second highest was Kings Harbor MultiCare Center in the Bronx with 45 deaths.

Cobble Hill Health Center has 300 beds. The report says it has included presumed COVID-19 deaths, as well as deaths stemming from confirmed cases.

Any nursing home with less than five deaths was excluded from the report.

The report is based off of a survey and substantially incomplete, accounting for less than half of the 2,690 nursing home deaths reported in the state. It also does not include people who got sick at nursing homes but ultimately died at hospitals.

It is the first time the state provided the information after Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office announced it would be more transparent.

The state's health commissioner claims New York is providing enough personal protective equipment for nursing homes and assisting with staffing.

News 12 reached out to the Cobble Hill Health Center but has not heard back.
