Residents gathered in Crotona Park Sunday to honor a man they say devoted his life to the borough.
The group gathered outside Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church to honor Rev. Dr. Fletcher Crawford.
Crawford passed away in August at the age of 92, and on Sunday, a street was unveiled in his honor.
Residents say naming the street after the late pastor is well-deserved for a man who dedicated his life to the community.
Crawford was known to preach countless sermons and provide people with food and shelter for decades on the same street.
