Students visit Con Edison in Van Nest for Career Discovery Week

On Wednesday, a group of students from the Bronx Engineering and Technology Academy visited Con Edison in Van Nest.

This year, the city’s Department of Education launched a weeklong initiative to help 10 graders gain some insight into prospective careers.
On Wednesday, a group of students from the Bronx Engineering and Technology Academy visited Con Edison in Van Nest.
They got a hands-on look at what goes into powering New York City and how to use a 3D printer.
The goal of Career Discovery Week program is to spark students’ interest in future careers.
Also participating in the program is the Brooklyn Navy Yard, JetBlue, PwC, JPMorgan Chase and Macy's.
