A new study claims increased exposure to flouride during pregnancy is tied to lower IQ scores in children.
Researchers followed more than 600 mothers and their children to conduct the study.
Kids were given age-appropriate IQ tests at about 3 or 4 years old.
The study revealed that kids of moms with higher levels of flouride during pregnancy scored lower.
The study was published Monday in the journal JAMA Pediatrics.
