A summer-like day Saturday sent many New Yorkers to the city’s beaches, which are not technically open due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A summer-like day Saturday sent many New Yorkers to the city’s beaches, which are not technically open due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
News 12 was at Orchard Beach in the Bronx where police were on patrols to make sure people were adhering to social distancing guidelines.
Gov. Cuomo announced that state beaches will open on the Friday before Memorial Day. Mayor Bill de Blasio says city beaches will remain closed due to safety precautions.
