A heat advisory is in effect 11 a.m. through 8 p.m. Friday. We could see temperatures feel like they are in the triple digits. Please drink plenty of water and stay in the A/C. Heat kills more people each year than any other weather phenomenon.
Record-breaking heat is possible on Friday. We're forecasting a high of 96 and the record is 97 degrees setback in 1999. Feels-like temperatures will be over 100 degrees.
Saturday will be another hot and humid day, with heat indices in the low to mid-90s. Most of the day will stay dry, with an isolated shower/storm chance in the evening.
