Sunset Park geared up for a one-of-a-kind celebration Saturday night to mark 50 years of hip-hop culture through the lens of fashion.
The runway came alive with models who wore outfits inspired by hip-hop's cultural revolution.
From the early days of breakdancing and graffiti art to the modern urban street style, the show was a visual journey through the history of the genre.
Sponsors like Good Girl PR, the Hip-Hop Closet, The Oracle Media and All Hip-Hop came together to create the experience at Porsche Brooklyn.
Some said having the event at a Porsche dealership gave everyone a taste of luxury.
Organizers said it was not just about fashion, but it was about the cultural legacy of hip-hop, like the iconic beats and unique style that has shaped generations.
Organizers also said having this fashion show was a reminder that hip-hop means more than just music.
