Suspect arraigned in fatal stabbing of social justice activist in Brooklyn
The man accused of fatally stabbing social justice activist Ryan Carson in Brooklyn was arraigned Friday.
Authorities say 18-year-old Brian Dowling stabbed Carson with a knife on Malcom X Boulevard on Oct. 2. He was arrested later that week.
Dowling faces charges of second-degree murder and fourth-degree criminal possession, according to authorities. He was held without bail and is set to return to court on Dec. 8.
He faces up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
