Suspect wanted after bus operator assaulted on the job in Norwood

Police are on the lookout for the person that attacked a bus operator.

On Saturday, Jan. 25, police say a Bee-Line bus was riding alone West Gun Hill Road and Jerome Avenue in Norwood.

Investigators said a person approached the 44-year-old female bus driver while on the bus.

They say the individual pushed the driver and threw an unknown liquid at her face. The attacker then took off.

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx. She is expected to be OK.

NYPD released new images of the suspect. Anyone that recognizes them is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1(800)577-TIPS.
