The man accused of starting a fire that destroyed six businesses in Westchester Square pleaded not guilty Tuesday.
William Crean, 40, is facing third-degree arson charges for allegedly setting a fire in March at 21 Latin Lounge, which then spread to five other establishments, causing an estimated $2 million in damage. If convicted, Crean faces up to 15 years in prison.
Both the defense and prosecution will have several weeks to file motions. Crean is due back in court Dec. 22.
