An SUV veered off the street Tuesday and crashed into a building in Claremont.

Witnesses tell News 12 that the Lincoln Navigator was headed down East 174th Street when it suddenly turned right and crashed into the rolling gate of a barbershop around 8:10 a.m.

Surveillance video shows a man and a child walking on the sidewalk seconds before the SUV came barreling down the street.

The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries. No one else was injured as a result of the crash.

The Buildings Department was at the scene to make sure the shop was safe for people to go back inside.
