The NYPD says two men attacked and robbed a 15-year-old boy on a southbound 6 train at the Morrison Avenue-Soundview station.

The robbery happened at 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29.

One of the men allegedly punched the teen in the face while the other grabbed his phone. Both suspects fled the train and ran off.

The teen was treated on the scene with injuries to his face.

This comes as the city reports a 5.6% drop in overall crime for July with subway crime at record lows, according to Mayor Eric Adams and NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch.

Anyone with information is urged to contact NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
