‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ is now streaming on Disney Plus.
Karen Malina White plays the character Dijonay Jones, the sassy, funny, quirky best friend to Penny Proud on the Proud Family reboot.
The popular Disney series premiered Wednesday on Disney Plus.
"You can expect more of what you saw in the original series 21 years ago, but you'll see things a little different. Now they're in their teens and experiencing all those things that come in that growing up,” said White.
The new show follows Penny as she navigates life with her friends and family by her side. Originally airing 21 years ago, the reboot keeps its nostalgic essence with the original cast, as well as celebrity guest appearances from Lizzo to Gabrielle Union.
