It’s the season of giving, but don’t forget to keep track of what you give.

Now is the time to get in all the donations to count for your 2023 taxes.

News 12’s Kristie Reeter gives you The Real Deal on how it can benefit charities and help you at the same time.

Caleb Silver of Investopedia says “It is always a good time of year to give to charity. It's the right thing to do, but also it helps you in your taxes, but when we look across the tri-state area and we see which state has the highest percentage of taxpayers who actually give to charity that goes to New Jersey with about 11.6% of taxpayers giving into charity, Connecticut is about 9.9%, and then NY around 8.5, 8.4%."
