A Bronx mother who lost her son in a hit-and-run incident is asking the city to step in and help prevent future tragedies.
More than 10,000 supporters have signed Cinthia Berganzo's petition to install speed bumps at Baychester and Crawford avenues after her 16-year-old son, Dylon, died in a hit-and-run incident.
Berganzo says the lack of response from the Department of Transportation makes her feel that her son died in vain.
News 12 reached out to the DOT, which said it has studied and collected data on Baychester Avenue and plans to present its ideas for improvement to the community board in the upcoming weeks.
