Residents who live along Pennyfield Avenue between Lawton and Harding streets say it's plagued by cars, buses and trucks that speed - especially during the morning hours.
Resident Jennifer Galvez says she fears for the safety of her children and of the community.
Galvez says last week, a crash resulted in her mother's parked car getting crushed. She blames a speeding bus.
"It was a really bad accident. We're just trying to get a speed bump here," said Galvez.
She says she's made multiple attempts to get a speed bump on this street, but was continuously denied by 311.
The Department of Transportation's website says speed bumps are not generally put on bus routes - and the Bx8 and the BxM9 buses run along Pennyfield Avenue.
Residents News 12 spoke with say they want the city do something to help slow down drivers for the safety of the community.
News 12 reached out to the DOT asking what can be done for this street but has not heard back yet.
