Commuters could be in for cold, long commute as the city
prepares for another round of snow and a wintry mix.
As of 7 a.m., it was still dry in Westchester Square, but
residents should make extra time for changing conditions.
The Department of Sanitation has issued a winter operations
advisory so plows and salt spreaders are at the ready if needed.
Despite the advisory, News 12 meteorologist Mike Rizzo says
the borough is not expected to see any intense snowfall.
Mayor Bill de Blasio says schools will be open for in-person
learning today; and vaccination centers and testing centers will be running
despite the wintry weather.
New Yorkers are urged to layer up as waiting to be vaccinated
or tested could take some time.
The weather is expected to warm up later on, turning the
wintry mix into rain.
