Here’s what you need to know:
  • It's mostly cloudy, frigid and breezy this morning with a few flying flakes. Temperatures are in the upper 20s. Wind chills are in the teens with gusts over 25 mph.
  • Today will be cold with increasing clouds and breezy conditions. Highs will be in the upper 30s, near 40 degrees. Wind chills will be in the 20s and 30s all day. A clipper system will slide south of our area this evening bringing a few flurries over parts of Brooklyn and Queens after 5 p.m. No accumulation is expected.
This weekend will be even colder with blustery winds and more sunshine. Highs reaching the mid 30s with lows in the 20s.
Another storm system will bring a chance of snow on Monday. The exact storm track will determine if we receive accumulating snow or just a few flurries. We're on the northern edge of the storm with the bulk of the heavy snow staying south. However, with any nudge to the north, more snow can move into our area. The best-case scenario is a coating to an inch of snow with the worst-case scenario being 1-3 inches.
