It's that time of the year again - today is the deadline to file federal income taxes.
The IRS is asking Americans to file electronically this year because paper returns are taking as long as six months to process. There are also some additional factors to include this year, like the child tax credit, the third stimulus check, as well as some new rules about reporting income from cryptocurrency.
The New York Department of Taxation and Finance says you can file for free directly on its website.
Don't forget to grab W-2 forms and any documents that support credits you're claiming.
If you cannot file, you can request an extension through the IRS.
