Today is the last day to vote early in the upcoming primary election.
Early voters will see a ballot containing nominations for members of the City Council, judge of the civil court, district leader, alternate delegate to the judicial convention, judge of the civil court, delegate to judicial convention and county committee.
As of Saturday, the Bronx has a total of 6,280 votes already casted and Brooklyn has 10,133.
Kenneth Richardson and his wife were among the residents casting their vote at the YMCA. Richardson says he tries to always vote early in order to avoid the hustle and bustle at the polls.
"This is important because when we vote on the local level, this goes all the way up to the presidency. If we don't like who is president or want to see change, we have to vote local first,” he said.
Those who did not participate in early voting will be able to vote during primary day on June 27.
