Traffic agents are making a return to City Island to help ease travel troubles amid ongoing construction.
The agents will be tasked with helping to ease potential congestion on City Island Avenue, starting this Mother's Day weekend when an increase in visitors is expected.
Crews have been working on the City Island Bridge, which connects the island to the mainland Bronx, for months, creating headaches for commuters. Construction is also underway at the Turtle Cove Golf Center to improve the aging conduit.
The agents will be in place Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. They'll then work from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Their presence will remain through the summer as construction continues.
