Fitness trainers and participants gathered at Scalzi Park in Stamford for a fitness boot camp to raise money to help get essential items to Ukraine.
The camp consists of different workouts and exercises.
With the help from a man in Wilton, the money raised will go to a non-governmental organization in Romania.
Organizer Flow Trandu was born in Romania. He tells News 12 he moved to the U.S. at an early age, but wants to help however way he can.
“I feel like as trainers or just humans in general, we have a responsibility…to show kindness to humanity,” says Trandu.
Trandu says he wants the people of Ukraine to know “they’re not alone” and there are people who care.
