A tree fell in Woodlawn -- knocking out power for dozens of people when it landed on an East 238th Street house.
The tumbling timber crashed through a front awning and also crushed a parked car.
Neighbors say it sounded like thunder around 10 a.m. Then the lights went out.
Police say no one was seriously hurt, but one diabetic neighbor told News 12 they feared their insulin would go bad if power wasn't restored soon.
