Tremont neighbors have created a vigil in memory of a mother and daughter who police say were killed by the mother's longtime boyfriend on Saturday.
Linda Manigault and her 10-year-old daughter allegedly lost their lives by the hands of Ezort Stevens, Manigault's boyfriend, on Saturday afternoon.
Police say when they arrived to the home along Belmont Avenue, they found the mother and daughter unconscious. They say the shooter had a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Detectives believe it was a double murder and suicide attempt.
News 12 was told that Manigault has three other children who were not injured.

Manigault’s sister tells News 12 that officers informed her that Stevens has opened his eyes, but can't talk.
