A tribute was held on the Grand Concourse Thursday in memory of Bronx residents who died in the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
Out of more than almost 3,000 lives lost on 9/11, 144 of them were from the Bronx.
"There reaches a point that an anniversary of horror and tragedy becomes and is transformed with a greater community, an anniversary of the future and there is always a hope, but hope is always discovered more easily in the unity," said the Rev. Eric Cruz, of the Archdiocese of New York.
