118ds agoJust in time for spooky season, multiple streets across New York City will be car-free starting Saturday.
Mayor Eric Adams announced that closing the streets to traffic will ensure the safety of children trick-or-treating.
Kids in the city looking for spooky fun will be able to celebrate Halloween without the threat of traffic.
Fordham Plaza on Webster Avenue in the Bronx is just one of the streets that will be full of ghosts and goblins.
On Saturday, Oct. 28 and Nov. 4, Bronx trick-or-treaters are welcome to come out for a spooky night filled with live performances, activities and lots of candy from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Fifteen other locations in all five boroughs will also be celebrating.
In Brooklyn, Douglass street and Parkside Avenue will be hosting events. On Halloween night, Jackson Avenue will be safe for trick-or-treaters.
