A Unionport animal shelter says it is in need of more volunteers to help keep dogs and cats off the street.
New Beginnings Animal Rescue on Newbold Avenue has just 20 volunteers to care for more than 100 cats and dogs.
The volunteers bathe, feed, walk and tend to the pets.
Founder Pedro Rosario opened the rescue three years ago and says he needs more volunteers to properly care for the animals.
