The money comes from a new round of funding for the state's Resilient Retrofits program, announced by Gov. Kathy Hochul.
Eligible homeowners can receive a combination of grants and low-interest loans to cover the cost of flood mitigation and energy-efficiency improvements.
The funding can be used for various upgrades, such as installing flood vents, moving utilities above the flood line, and electrifying heating systems.
To be eligible, homeowners must live in a flood-prone area and earn up to 120% of their area median income.
