Many Van Cortlandt Park residents
are upset that they might not be able to spend this Labor Day weekend at the
pool due to damages caused by Ida.
The Van Cortlandt
Park Alliance posted photos on Twitter of the pool dealing with severe
flooding.
It is unclear if
the issue will be resolved for Labor Day.
The Parks
Department told News 12 that they are “determining the extent of damage and
repairs needed at Van Cortlandt pool.”
The Parks Department also says it’s asking everyone to be patient as
their staff deal with flooding issues not only at Van Cortlandt Park, but also
at Prospect Park in Brooklyn and Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens.
