You couldn't walk down a two-block stretch of Howard Avenue on the West End of Bridgeport Sunday without noticing that car vandals had struck there.
"It's impossible not see all the smashed-out windows, one after the other – and it's honestly quite disgusting," Tiffany Gomez told News 12. "It's such an invasion to have your property destroyed.”
Gomez says that her car was set aflame after it was broken into.
"There's nothing left but a burned out metal shell and it makes me sick because I worked hard to buy that car and I really loved it," she said.
Police Chief Roderick Porter says the department has stepped up patrols in the area and detectives hope to make arrests in the case soon.
