A brutal attack on a young boy at a Bed-Stuy bodega was caught on camera and the victim’s mother claims it has been a constant issue.
Police say they are looking for six men accused of attacking Valerie Prince’s 12-year-old son at First Stop Grocery 2 Inc.
“As soon as I seen the video, I immediately asked the store owner to just please turn it off because it made me sick to my stomach to watch and see my child be beat, kicked, hit with crates and they even went so far as to try to throw the scalding hot water on him from the coffee pot,” said Prince.
Prince says his injuries were minor after the staff intervened. "They could have you know, I  mean everybody has seen Junior Guzman, everyone has seen that and it just took me back somewhat to that situation,” said Prince.
She says the trouble started years ago when her son wrote a note on Snapchat to a friend and says that’s when her son started to be bullied.
"He's being called a homosexual,” said Prince. She claims they have become increasingly violent.
"They have been sending threats to my child, telling him if he comes outside, they're going to shoot him, they're going to come shoot up my door,” said Prince.
Prince says she has done everything to mediate the situation, including transferring her son to different schools and going to the police.
Now, she says she's terrified to leave him alone. "He can't even go to the playground and play, because these people are seeking out to destroy his character and he keeps being attacked by these same people,” said Prince.
She says she hopes the suspects will be tracked down and her son can finally enjoy his childhood.
